Job Description

INTERNAL AUDITOR

The candidate for this position will assist in the development and execution of internal Bank’s audit plans to identify risks and evaluate controls and efficiencies as well as contribute to the safeguarding of corporate assets and interests of the Bank. The candidate will provide support to the creation of policies and procedures while providing value added recommendations and will identify process weaknesses. The candidate will assist in the preparation of audit reports while effectively communicating the findings to staff and senior management. Other tasks include participating in departmental meetings to explain audit objectives, perform audit tests and document processes.

Requirements for the position include a high school diploma (or equivalent) a Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field (waived in lieu of experience), a Certified Internal Auditor designation preferred. Regulatory compliance and banking experience required. Strong verbal, written and organizational skills as well as strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems required. Strong computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Ability to work flexible and/or late hours required. Overnight and/or road travel may be required on occasion.
